Arnos Vale Water Wheel, Flowers and Fauna


Trinidad & Tobago together have a mind-blowing range of both flora and fauna. While Trinidad's plant and animal life is not too different from the Venezuelan, Tobago sports a flora and fauna that is typical of a volcanic land. Palms, giant aroids, large broad-leaved varieties and wild flowers are found aplenty.
The rare orchid is a specialty of Trinidad and Tobago. Due to plenty of forest space and vast water bodies around, the avian fauna on the islands For sheer tropical beauty, a visit to the Botanic Gardens is a must, Its abundanc
e of flowers and trees tells the story of a garlanded area that is manicured with loving care, pruned with taste and thus displaying its bloom with delight. After leaving the Botanical Gardens, a visit is made to the Nursery nearby where visitors can see rare hybrid Hibiscus blooms. Continuing onto the Arnos Vale Trail mountain road, which takes you through our tropical rainforests, and several cocoa, coffees and citrus estates.

Upon arrival at Arnos Vale Water Wheel you can explore the many nature trails with unique opportunities to see for yourself the variety of our flora and fauna. For those who prefer a less active day one can relax , have a cocktail or lunch, in the cozy comfort of the recently rum house and admire the view from the veranda.
